10 Most Ridiculous WWE Injuries Ever
9. InZayn
Less comedic than hideously unfortunate and incredibly gutsy, Sami Zayn's 2015 main roster bow couldn't really have gone much better, with the glaring exception of causing himself an injury that took over six months of his career and aggressively halted his upward trajectory.
Introduced by Bret Hart in his hometown of Montreal for a blockbuster United States Title match, 'The Underdog From The Underground' was set to have an absolute thriller with 'The Champ', but somehow conspired to injure his shoulder just by throwing his arms up in the air in celebration.
It's painful to watch Zayn grit his teeth through the excellent match that follows, especially in the opening minutes where his stoic expression masks the incredible pain he must have then been in.
A debut that should have comfortably supplanted him in the big leagues at the conclusion of his NXT programme with Kevin Owens instead led him to a hospital bed. He returned in December that year, pulling double duty between major shows and the developmental brand.
Thankfully recovered, he worked genuine classics with Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura in early 2016 before finding exclusive residence on Raw and Smackdown after WrestleMania.
