10 Most Ridiculous WWE WrestleMania Entrances

9. Triple H: WrestleMania XXVIII

It’s probably not a spoiler warning to let you all know, upfront, that this isn’t the last time you’ll see Triple H pop up here. This entrance isn’t his most ridiculous. At least not aesthetically.

Because it is, yes, all about ‘The Game’, The Game mandated that Jim Ross was to call his End Of An Era Hell In A Cell bout with the Undertaker. And, because it wasn’t quite enough for Triple H to make his entrance to the strains of one legendary rock act in Motörhead, Triple H also made his entrance to the ominous, shredding thrash classic ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ by Metallica. Reminder that the vast majority of WWE performers aren’t allowed one household act to pen their signature theme.

It’s a wonder he didn’t walk to Megadeth’s ‘Redemptive Babyface Arcs Sell…But Who’s Buying?’ at WrestleMania XIX.

Completing the entrance with a bunch of guys behind shields making way for the King of f*cking Kings, what’s most annoying about this, this stupid, overblown thing, is that it was absolutely awesome, stunning pro wrestling theatre. You felt like a warlord just watching it, and that’s what wrestling is, at its core: badass wish fulfilment.

And then Triple H went and stole the Rock Vs. Cena-headlined show with an absolutely incredible performance, in which he portrayed himself brilliantly as a destroyer.

Prick.
