10 Most Ridiculous WWE WrestleMania Entrances

4. The Big Show: WrestleMania 21

Now, it was reported that WWE arranged this strange sumo attraction as a means of infiltrating the Japanese market, via mainstream shortcut, in the classic ‘Mania tradition.

You can’t tell me that Vince McMahon didn’t go to the trouble and expense of flying major mainstream star Akebono in for that reason. You also can’t tell me that Vince’s favourite moment of the show was his problematic fave Hulk Hogan putting the boot into a terrorist, or the seminal technical masterclass pitting his other fave Shawn Michaels against Kurt Angle, or the dollar signs appearing in front of his eyeballs at the sight of his future fave, John Cena, emerging from the show with his maiden WWE Championship hoisted in the air.

No, Vince McMahon’s favourite moment of the show was definitely seeing the Big Show enter the Staples Center dressed in a ceremonial Yukata robe. For added laughs, and this was definitely a Vince McMahon directive, Show slowly peeled the robe to reveal the full expanse of his fleshy thigh.

Promoted as a serious proposition in the build, Vince revealed his secret self-pop masterplan by dressing Show up in a big nappy.
