9. Sasha And Bayley’s WWE Struggles
WWE Untold: Bayley and Sasha Take Over Brooklyn
Even if you make it to WWE, or its developmental territory, there are challenges waiting.
Sasha Banks and Bayley have been close since their FCW days, with Banks giving Bayley her practice match to show off her talents. They had a natural chemistry in the ring and bonded outside of it as wrestling fans.
However, Bayley initially committed to wrestling for two months, after which she planned to assess whether she would continue. Her first month took a lot out of her. She hit a low when she cried during promo class. Meanwhile, Sasha feared being cut by FCW as she felt she wasn’t being noticed.
Both women credit Dusty Rhodes for his invaluable help during their FCW low points. He helped Bayley to develop her promo skills and she credits him with saving her. Dusty was also instrumental to Sasha’s ‘The Boss’ gimmick, being the only one able to see its potential and encouraging her to continue to grow into it.
Fans have some of that Rhodes inspiration to thank for two of the Four Horsewomen, and also the show stealing match in Brooklyn.
