2. Faking His Own Death
We should probably treat this one more seriously, as it came unfortunately close to the Chris Benoit incident.
Shortly before, Vince had undergone an angle where he entered his limousine to depart a show - only for it blow up in spectacular fashion. This was apparently going to lead to a fake death angle, and an eventual McMahon return.
Instead, Vince wisely called off the whole storyline as soon as the Benoit situation happened.
