Though the acting had been a little suspect at times, the burgeoning love story between Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus in early-2004 had turned Chris Jericho babyface thanks to the glowing popularity of the the biggest star in the Women's division.

Beginning life as a skit between heel chums Jericho and Christian months earlier, the relationship was formed after the cocky Canadians made a $1 bet that they could sleep with Trish or Lita respectively before the other.

Jericho's courtship ended up beyond the braggadocios, and he admitted he had started to fall for Stratus after the details of the wager were eventually divulged.

Christian stirred the pot, jealously interfering in the couple's budding relationship before eventually physically attacking both Trish and Jericho, triggering rage from 'Y2J' and setting the stage for their WrestleMania XX clash.

At the tail-end of the contest, Stratus inadvertently clocked Jericho in the face to allow Christian to roll up his former best friend for the win.

It was then that Trish revealed the ruse. Bitter at the bet from the very beginning, she viciously snapped on the 'Sexy Beast' with some wild slaps, allowing Christian to floor him with an Unprettier.

The two passionately kissed to the bewilderment of Jericho and the Madison Square Garden crowd, cementing their new relationship.
