A babyface turn so masterful it drew positive emotion to a performer literally seconds after they had been forced into retirement, the Macho Man Randy Savage's moment of clarity when staring down former love Elizabeth is wrestling theatre at its most refined.

Having taken a deserved kicking from the Ultimate Warrior after months of torturing the former WWE Champion, Savage was left broke and unemployed, as per the stipulations of the contest. Manager Sensational Queen Sherri wasn't shy about voicing her displeasure at the fallen Savage, and then set about him with demeaning strikes and kicks as he lay utterly defenceless.

This triggered a run-in from Randy's real-life wife and former storyline charge Elizabeth, who made her return to television for the first time in a year to chase off the evil Sherri and save the man she always loved. As the two emotionally came together in the ring, countless audience members were shown in floods of tears, as the joyous reunion touched the hearts of a wrestling universe that deeply cared for the pair's relationship.

Promoting one key change in the dynamic, Savage held the ropes open for Liz to exit, rather than the other way around, completing his character's rehabilitation.
