10 Most Shocking WWE Raw Returns Ever

1. The Rock

Although he never left on bad terms, most WWE fans (and those in WWE) figured The Rock was done in pro wrestling after 2004. He didn't appear for years, with the exception of the odd pre-tape and 2008's Hall Of Fame induction for his father and grandfather. All in all, it was over six years in which Rock looked like he was done as an actual character for WWE. And then came the February 14 2011 Raw, when The Rock shockingly and unexpectedly appeared live on the show for the first time in almost seven years. Fans popped massively, and it was revealed that Rocky was going to be the host of WrestleMania 27. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjjMWZjZPkw This was part of his reintegration to WWE as an active character, and ultimately set up his box office blasts with John Cena for 2012 and 2013. It remains one of Raw's most shockingly unexpected returns, as few fans ever imagined seeing 'The Great One' back in such an active WWE capacity.
