10 Most Shocking WWE Raw Returns Ever

10. Brock Lesnar

There had been tiny whispers that Brock Lesnar and WWE were looking to work together again in 2012, but his return on the April 2nd 2012 Raw was totally unexpected. Brock Lesnar back on Raw? It was a sight that few of us ever thought possible. He'd left WWE on astoundingly bad terms in 2004, giving his notice to Vince McMahon in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 20. It created a deep personal resentment from McMahon to Lesnar, as the WWE chief felt like he'd been personally betrayed. After all, he had invested an insanely strong two year push in the rookie, only to be told "no thanks" in the build-up to the then biggest pay per view in company history. Legal battles followed. Lesnar then went on to UFC, becoming Heavyweight Champion and the biggest pay per view draw in MMA history. Although his MMA career was over at the end of 2011, he had no real reason to return to WWE. He had more money than he could ever spend, and the bitterness to WWE had been apparent in his 2011 autobiography. Surely, he'd never go back? But he did. As John Cena cut a promo on the 2012 post-Mania Raw, Lesnar's music hit and out he came. The pop was massive, even more so when he F5'd Cena. It was so unexpected, and so surreal. It turned out McMahon had coughed up five million dollars a year for four Lesnar matches per a year. Money talks!
