10 Most Successful Third-Generation WWE Wrestlers

1. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Now this should surprise nobody.

As WWE would often remind fans when he portrayed "The Blue Chipper" Rocky Mavia, Johnson is the son of Rocky Johnson and the grandson of Peter Maivia. Both Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia would later be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, based largely on their association with The Rock. After all, how many wrestling fans had really heard of Peter Maivia before the 'Brahma Bull' entered WWE?

An eight-time world champion, The Rock emerged as one of the biggest stars during WWE's Attitude Era, due in large part to his outstanding mic skills. He's headlined several WrestleManias and is generally regarded as one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time.

What makes 'The People's Champ' the most successful third-generation wrestler is the fact that he was able to use the fame he achieved in WWE to go on and become one of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Between wrestling and acting, The Rock's net worth is around $280 million, thus making him extremely successful by any reasonable standard.
