10 Most Successful WWE Diva Search Contestants Ever

1. Michelle McCool

You cannot deny that out of all the divas on this list, Michelle McCool is by far the most talented wrestler. Mrs Taker came seventh in the 2004 Diva Search, yet has gone on to become one of the most successful divas in WWE history, period. Holding a total of four WWE female championships, McCool is firmly situated in the upper echelons of women's professional wrestling. A former school teacher, WWE gave her the gimmick of a... wait for it... sexy teacher - how does Creative think of these ideas? Spending the majority of her career on Smackdown, Michelle's wrestling ability began to excel. Her technical prowess and growing repertoire of exciting moves gave WWE bosses enough faith to crown her as the inaugural Diva's Champion in 2008. As she continued to improve all facets of her character, McCool became a reliable cornerstone of the Diva's division. When LayCool formed in 2009, Michelle's heel persona caused fans to boo loudly at the obnoxious duo as they went on to find great success in unifying both female championships. After nearly two irritating years together, LayCool disbanded when McCool decided to prematurely retire in 2011. Putting over both Layla and Kharma on her way out, McCool left at the height of her career - just like Trish Stratus and Lita - leaving fans hopeful that one day, she might return. The Diva Search may have crowned five winners, but McCool proved that having a passion for wrestling and a willingness to learn, can make you a hugely successful WWE Diva no matter what position you finished in.
