10 Most Successful WWE To AEW Transitions

4. Sting

The fact Sting wasn't afforded the chance to do much of anything at all in WWE on the back of suffering a career-ending injury against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2015 set the bar rather low for Tony Khan back in December 2020.

So, with very few honestly expecting much more than the odd on-screen appearance as Darby Allin's manager from The Icon after signing on the dotted line at Winter is Coming, the visual of Stinger actually throwing down and even taking full-on bumps once again was about as surreal as it gets.

And not only that, but the 64-year-old has somehow found a way to once again feel like a genuine special attraction over in The Land of All Elite, with TK masterfully lacing the legendary WCW figure into frequently joyous party matches that deftly keep the veteran from breaking his ageing body in front of a live audience.

Simply put, few ever imagined they'd see a day when this one-time retired mythical figure would crash through tables, no-sell superkick parties, or mimic Orange Cassidy's schtick after his WWE run was cut unfortunately short. But here we are.

Enjoy this wonderful time while it lasts, folks.
