10 Most Surprising WWE Veterans
5. Heath Slater (11 Years)
Brock Lesnar may not give a s**t about Heath Slater's kids, but the same can't be said about dad himself. He's spent nearly 11 years working for Vince McMahon in order to put food on their plates, which is a fate most of us can only imagine.
Slater's path to the main roster was perhaps more rocky than most too. He was confined to the developmental arm nearly three years before he got a chance on the main roster, and even then it was only as a barely recognisable backup guy in The Nexus.
It's Heath who has had the final laugh, though, by outlasting all of his fellow rookies bar Daniel Bryan (who wasn't really a proper member, anyway), despite many at the time predicting world title reigns in the futures of Wade Barrett and Darren Young.
He hasn't just been kept around to make up the numbers either. Alongside Rhyno, Slater became the inaugural holder of the SmackDown Tag Team Championship back in 2016, and is still a part of Raw's division two years later.
