10 Most Underappreciated Wrestling Moves
1. Stone Cold's Chair Shots
Chair shots are brutal, there are no two ways about it. Stone Cold Steve Austin's chair shots are downright horrifying. The scope of what a wrestler can do with a chair in WWE has heavily declined these days and for good reason. But during Austin's prime a thump to the head with a metal chair was pretty commonplace.
Though the Rock and Mankind were also savages with a seat, Stone Cold has a method to chairs that is all his own. He seems fine, in control, able to manipulate the chair any way he needs, like a normal person handling low quality furniture; once he goes onto the follow through of the shot, however, the chair seems to increase in weight. Often it seems as though Austin loses his balance from the sheer power and weight of the chair, giving the impression of him throwing his entire weight into the swing. It's frantic and lacking any grace: it's Stone Cold.
