10 Most Underrated Halves Of Famous WWE Tag Teams
Every tag team has an Art Garfunkel. But it's not always their fault.
Wrestling history is littered with "other guys," performers who thrived as part of a tag team largely because there was someone much more charismatic or technically proficient carrying them past the finish line each night. When they attempted to branch out on their own into the unforgiving singles landscape, they failed to capture the imagination of the fans in the same way they did with their teammates. For too uncommonly, though, these "other guys" are unfairly categorized as the lesser halves. Or they're simply never afforded an opportunity to take the bull by the horns as a solo performer. Understandably, some flames are destined to burn a little brighter than others, and it's a natural reaction as fans to compare one wrestler to another, even when they're on the same team. Tack onto that how few spots there are in the upper echelon of professional wrestling and that's a recipe for one guy to steal the show, while the other fades into oblivion. It's not always fair. But that's the business. Whatever the reason, the following tag team performers deserve better legacies than the ones that were afforded them.
