10 Most Underrated Matches From WWE Survivor Series

1. Bret Hart Vs. Diesel (1995)

Despite the many inclusions on this list, the most underrated match in Survivor Series history is not a traditional elimination match, but a WWF Championship match.

The main event of Survivor Series '95 was the culmination of a year-long reign by Diesel as he wrestled Bret Hart for the third time on pay-per-ciew where a winner would finally be declared.

The two New Generation icons had wrestled previously for the title and both matches featured disqualifications. Diesel was unsuccessful challenging Bret at King Of The Ring '94 and Bret couldn't regain his championship from Diesel at the 1995 Royal Rumble. With a no disqualification, no count-out stipulation, a definitive winner was certain for Survivor Series, and the two put on an instant classic.

After 22 minutes, Diesel launched Bret off the ring apron, crashing down through the Spanish announce table (the first major table bump in WWE history). After Diesel showed a momentary sign of compassion, Bret cradled the champ into a small package and won the WWF title for a third time. The aftermath saw Diesel attack multiple referees and deliver two Jackknifes to the new champion.

Perhaps because Diesel was never known for his in-ring prowess, this match is often forgotten about, but it shouldn't be. It is Kevin Nash's greatest match and it's the most underrated contest in Survivor Series history.
