10 Most Underrated Tag Teams In WWE History

8. The Fabulous Rougeaus

Brothers Jacques and Raymond Rougeau may not necessarily be considered by many to be the most successful team in WWE history, what with no championship reigns to their names and a staggering losing streak to The Bushwhackers late in their WWE run, but upon closer examination, the team was a great addition to one of the most stacked tag team divisions in wrestling history. Two tremendously talented technicians, Raymond and Jacques could out-wrestle anyone and, as they proved upon their heel turn, they could ham it up for the cameras when the time presented itself. Upon arriving in 1986, the sons of Jacques Rougeau, Sr. competed against the Hart Foundation, the Funks, the Dream Team and the British Bulldogs, whom they had a heated rivalry with in front of, and behind, the cameras. In fact, their match with the Bulldogs at SummerSlam 1988 was not only the first in event history, it was also the first indication that fans could expect great, compelling action from the Superstars involved at the summertime spectacular, just as they had come to expect at the company€™s other pay-per-view extravaganza, WrestleMania. Jacques would go on to greater success as a singles star, portraying The Mountie character for two years and winning the Intercontinental Championship during that period. Later, he would team with Pierre Ouelette in The Quebecers, another team that accomplished a great deal of success in World Wrestling Entertainment. It was Raymond, though, that held the Rougeaus together. Like Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero after him, he was an intense and hard-hitting wrestler who was as tough as any other man on television. The €œAll-American Boys€ were very effective while portraying both heroes and villains, making them an invaluable asset to McMahon€™s company.
