10 Most Underrated WWE Matches Of 2014

These awesome bouts don't deserve to be forgotten.

Regardless of what you thought of 2014 on the whole for WWE, it was historic for a variety of reasons. The Shield's breakup, Daniel Bryan's WWE World Heavyweight Championship victory and Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak are all moments that will go down in history. It was also a strong year from an in-ring standpoint for WWE. Who will ever forget The Shield's epic clashes with The Wyatt Family? Or how about the amazing matchup between Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship from the latest live special? Those are only a few of the many matches that stole the show this past year. As weak as the roster depth may be at the moment, there's no denying that the Superstars are capable of classics inside the squared circle. But there are also a handful of bouts that have taken place in the last year that didn't receive their rightful recognition. Whether they occurred on a show that featured a more monumental match/moment or were tucked away on an episode of Raw or SmackDown, they were wrongfully forgotten about soon after they happened. In reading this list, you may find yourself remembering just how great some of these matches truly were.
