Of all the wrestlers to take Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music over the years, nobody sold it as consistently well as Randy Orton. The Viper met the Heartbreak Kid on countless occasions over the years, and while he usually had the better of Michaels in one on one competition, Orton took more than a few Superkicks along the way.

In fact, Orton took the move so regularly that it almost felt like he was bored of selling it, and was challenging himself to constantly come up with new, innovative ways to make it look cool. He succeeded on every level, and from falling straight on his back to flipping around like HBK wrestling Hulk Hogan at SummerSlam ‘05, Orton had plenty of tricks up his sleeve when it came to taking the move.

The Viper’s best Sweet Chin Music moments came a few years after his debut, when he’d take it look like the move had knocked him out on his feet. Orton would go still, then slowly tumble to the mat like a falling tree, before going completely motionless on the mat. Sometimes he’d even go down in stages, zombie-like in his trance, but no matter how he took it, Orton always made Michaels’ Superkick look great.
