10 Most Unlikely WWE Intercontinental Champions Ever

2. Luke Harper

Let's be honest, when Bray Wyatt led his 'Wyatt Family' onto main roster WWE screens in 2013, many would have had the ring-leading Bray as the first candidate for capturing a title in the promotion. Incredibly, Bray hasn't yet won any championship gold, but it's fair to say that his persona doesn't really require titles to remain over with fans. Backed up by a pair of intimidating, bearded psychopaths, Wyatt was flanked by both Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. At first, Harper and Rowan didn't do much wrestling, but when they finally did it was usually in tag-team competition. Both guys seemed pretty at odds with the usually-slick style of grappling prevalent in WWE, but it worked and tied in with their gimmick very well. Even still, nobody could have predicted that Harper would ever capture a major singles title in the company, at least not as quickly as he did. In November, 2014, the big man shockingly defeated Dolph Ziggler, and even though he would lose the belt back to Ziggler at the TLC supershow in December, it was one Intercontinental Title reign that few could have foreseen coming.
