10 Most Unprofessional Wrestlers Ever

7. Davey Richards

Davey Richards was a wild combination of Hulk Hogan and every dumb jock wrestler in kickpads going.

As a worker, he was beloved earnestly and ironically at the same time: intense and credible and just beautifully crisp, he on occasion was capable of threading together a proper struggle of a match. Otherwise, his matches were dumb and excessive to a parodic, albeit quite thrilling, extent.

That was the kickpad side of Davey: the Hogan side surfaced when he accepted a booking, was paid for the booking, only for the booking not to work for Davey, brother.

In a big no-no. Davey became notorious for simply not turning up. He was removed from his swansong at Final Battle 2013 by Ring of Honor for repeated infractions of his unprofessionalism.

His reputation deteriorated further as the decade progressed - so much so that, in a hilarious rib, Ethan Page named a 2019 show he promoted under the Alpha-1 banner 'Here We Go Again' in anticipation of Richards no-showing it, as he had in 2011.

He did not in fact show up, and last year was revealed to be a far worse person than an erratic cosplaying AJPW star.
