10 Most Unstable WWE Superstars Ever

Digging the crazy chicks (and guys).

One look at today's World Wrestling Entertainment reveals a roster full of Superstars and Divas that would fit in at an insane asylum as well as they do inside the ring. Some, like "Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose, have even incorporated their insanity into their nicknames. Others, like AJ Lee and the Wyatt Family, have garnered tremendous fan followings thanks to the fact that their crazed natures set them apart from the other cookie cutter characters in today's family-friendly WWE. The introduction of Superstars and Divas a few fries short of a Happy Meal is nothing new to WWE. Throughout the company's long and illustrious history, crazed stars have been an integral part of the company's storytelling. Whether it was The Moondogs in the 1970s, the Missing Link and George "the Animal" Steele in the 1980s, Sycho Sid and maniacal dentist Isaac Yankem in the 1990s or Mickie James and the Boogeyman in the 2000s, every decade touts their own brand of lunacy. In celebration of today's current crop of irrational and unhinged Superstars, here is a look back at the 10 most unstable Superstars in WWE's long and illustrious history.

Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
