10 Most Unwanted WrestleMania Title Changes

7. John Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show (World Title - WrestleMania XXV)

The cat calls and booing which accompany John Cena wherever he goes aren't a new thing, fans - primarily adult males - have been reacting negatively to the man for close to a decade now, seemingly unhappy that he's been a near-constant focal point in WWE since first getting pushed to the top. In 2009, at 'Mania XXV, Cena would come up trumps against both Edge and The Big Show in a big Triple Threat encounter, but it was overall a pretty irrelevant title change. Edge had only bagged the World Heavyweight Title belt at the Elimination Chamber show in February, and would defeat John Cena in a great Last Man Standing war at Backlash in late-April. WrestleMania XXV didn't really need that definitive big babyface title victory anyway, it already had Triple H closing out the show by fending off the heel Randy Orton, not to mention a satisfying bout between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. The logic is obvious, WWE wanted a big face win for Cena on the grand stage, but it was pretty inessential.
