10 Most Useless WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Ever

10. Rey Mysterio (2014)

Rey Mysterio is akin to the odd man out on this list, because the masked man could never be labeled as a useless performer. Unfortunately for him, those in charge of making the decisions hung him out to dry at the 2014 Royal Rumble. It was the timing of Mysterio's entry into the match that was useless, and proved to be something fans simply didn't want to see. As each passing superstar entered the fray, people started to get antsy about the prospect of Daniel Bryan not being involved. Earlier in the show, Bryan had faced Bray Wyatt in singles competition, but the audience desperately wanted to see him in the Rumble match itself. When it became clear that wasn't going to happen as Mysterio entered #30 in the bout, fans instantly turned their backs on the match, booing the unfortunate Rey out of the building. Mysterio wasn't alone, and even eventual winner Batista was given some pretty harsh treatment. Overall, Rey only lasted a little over 2 minutes in the Rumble, making his role meaningless to begin with. Fans were understandably dissatisfied by what had transpired, and the 2014 appearance was one of the least popular of Mysterio's lengthy, usually fan-friendly, career.
