10 Most Useless WWE Royal Rumble Entrants Ever

6. Drew Carey (2001)

Well-known television star, Drew Carey, also exists as one of the worst Royal Rumble entrants of all-time. Vince McMahon clearly enjoys the thought of receiving a bit of a rub from using mainstream celebrities on his shows, which is exactly why the star of the Drew Carey Show was involved to begin with. Earlier in the evening, he was entered into the Rumble by McMahon himself during a backstage segment. Entering at #5, the comedian looked delighted to be there. Fans were bemused by what they were seeing, and some seemed willing to accept Carey into the match. Obviously, the man was not a professional wrestler, and really had no business being involved in such a situation. The entire purpose of his appearance was to introduce Kane to the Rumble - that was Drew's cue to make himself scarce. Attempting to make friends with the 'Big Red Machine', Carey offered a handshake. When it became clear that Kane about to reciprocate, Carey simply leaped over the top rope and eliminated himself from the match. Even though he was there for laughs, Drew Carey's entry in the Royal Rumble must still be considered meaningless. Hell of a way to earn a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
