10 Most Violent Fighters In UFC History

3. Anthony Johnson

When a fighter moves up a weight class, rarely do they manage to keep the same amount of power they once had when facing larger opponents. This is what makes Anthony Johnson such a strange case. Not only was he a brutal knockout artist at welterweight, he also smashed people at light heavy and heavyweight during his career.

How Johnson managed to deplete himself to 170lb is astonishing and quite scary. It should've hindered his performances significantly, yet he still managed to score vicious knockouts over Yoshiyuki Yoshida and Charlie Brenneman that made him a frightening force in the division.

Although these bouts were impressive, Johnson really began to fulfill his potential when he went up to 205lb and started flatlining the likes of Glover Teixeira, Alexander Gustafsson and Ryan Bader in disturbing fashion. His most impressive performance in the division was against talented wrestler, Phil Davis.

Davis had looked sensational during his run in the UFC, only ever losing to Rashad Evans prior to this fight. However, Rumble proceeded to beat up Davis like no other opponent had ever done. While number one on our list might be the most dangerous light heavyweight of all time, Johnson's body count shows that he made his presence felt at 205lb.
