Not even the Grandest Stage of Them All is immune to the smartened minds of the WWE fans. When Brock Lesnar clashed with Goldberg at the 20th annual WrestleMania showcase, this should have been a battle for the ages. Furthermore, Stone Cold Steve Austins presence as the special guest referee only heightened the significance of the occasion. However, there were two huge asterisks alongside either combatants name. Lesnar was being touted for a possible career switch to the NFL, while Goldberg was also on his way out with his contract set to expire. Long story short, neither guy was going to be sticking around post-WrestleManiaand the fans did not appreciate that. After the two took an eternity to lock up, the Madison Square Garden crowd launched a plethora of chants at the outgoing pair. Cries of you sold out and the oh-so-simple booorrrring were about the liveliest things about the match. Luckily, Austin managed to save the day though, handing out Stunners all round to end the segment on an explosive note.
