The 2015 Royal Rumble match was booked so poorly that even The Rock got booed out of Philadelphia.

Fans saw how desperate WWE was to get Roman Reigns over as 'The Guy,' and it was obvious the match would be another notch in his belt. That didn't mean it was ruined, though. All WWE had to do was make wise booking decisions.

That was too much to ask.

For every entertaining moment like Kofi Kingston evading elimination, there were bits such as Titus O'Neil entering the Rumble with the sole purpose of breaking the Quickest Elimination Record, which he managed to botch by failing to hoist himself over the ropes.

Perhaps what soured the fans the most was Daniel Bryan's booking. Unlike 2014, he actually made an appearance. Alas, it was all for nought, as Bryan was quickly eliminated while Goldust's "Shattered Dreams" logo played on the Tron.

Reigns wasn't popular beforehand, but fans took out all of their displeasure on the manufactured babyface once Bryan's entry was wasted. The Philly crowd verbally disembowelled the man for the rest of the match whenever they weren't chanting for CM Punk.

WWE sent in 'The People's Champ' to rescue 'The Big Dog,' but he too was torn to shreds by the jeers. Even The Rock knew the bout was a real stinker. Before the match, he and Reigns were cousins. During the post-match interview, he went out of his way to correct the interviewer and simply call Reigns "family." Ouch.
