2. 2007 - Royal Rumble Match

Ignoring an already impressive display where Michaels had taken revenge on 'Rated RKO' members Randy Orton and Edge for his DX buddy Triple H, and hilariously done his best to get The Great Khali to look at the hard camera in his moment of dominance mid-way thorough the match, 2007's Royal Rumble will always be remembered for its incredible final battle.

Disposing of the aforementioned dastardly duo to leave himself and The Undertaker as the final two men, what followed was the most dramatic ending sequence the Royal Rumble has ever hosted.

Running just under ten minutes, the two icons had a match within a match, dragging their worn-down bodies through a host of nail-biting elimination spots.

Engaging in a titanic battle, Undertaker's size and energy advantage ('The Deadman' had entered at #30) was pitched against the wily Michaels' fantastic Rumble form and unopposed will to win.

After downing Taker long enough with Sweet Chin Music, Michaels set up a second attempt that would hopefully despatch 'The Deadman' for good.

It was not to be. Catching Michaels' flailing foot, Taker hauled him overhead to the floor, securing his first Royal Rumble win and symbolically kicking off a rivalry that would span several years and spawn two of the greatest Wrestlemania matches of all time.
