In the heart of the SmackDown Six Era of the blue brand, consummate underdog Rey Mysterio battled Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat match designed to determine whether or not the masked luchador could hang with two of the best in-ring technicians ever.

Motivated to prove himself as the biggest little man in professional wrestling, Mysterio was cerebral in his assault. He was sneaky in his attack, seizing every opening to thwart the onslaught of his opponents. In the end, Rey Rey capitalised on the hatred that existed between his foes, who were in the midst of an intense feud at the time.

Late on in the match he dropkicked Angle into a Benoit suplex, then pinned The Crippler with a springboard hurricanrana for what was then a huge upset.

The main event of what is arguably the greatest episode of SmackDown ever (at least from an in-ring perspective), it not only secured a much-needed win for Mysterio over two legitimate championship contenders, it continued the hot streak for the brand as Paul Heyman masterminded truly compelling television on a weekly basis.
