Thanks for coming, Wheeler Yuta.

BCC's young boy won the ROH Pure Championship from Josh Woods at Supercard Of Honor in early-April, but his time with the technical title has come to an end. Last night, Daniel Garcia bagged the belt by beating Wheeler in a main event classic. That had to happen, being frank.

Garcia's 'will he/won't he' story between the Jericho Appreciation Society and Blackpool Combat Club has been a highlight during the most tumultuous period in AEW history (at least behind the scenes), and he deserved to be rewarded for telling a great story with something tangible at the end of it.

This title is that reward.

Better yet, it seems Daniel is destined to become an even bigger deal over the next few weeks heading into 'Grand Slam'. There's just no way Tony Khan, or anybody involved in AEW's creative process, can halt the tale here without doing something else rather special...
