Much like the Tag Team title picture, the Intercontinental Championship scene has been blown wide open by the selections at this year’s Draft. This time, though, we’re not even sure whether the it’ll be Raw or SmackDown that the championship calls its home.

Currently the title is on SmackDown, after Daniel Bryan drafted the Miz. But Darren Young—the challenger for the belt at Battleground this Sunday—was subsequently picked by Raw, so there’s a real possibility that he could be bringing the title back with him to Mondays.

Regardless of where the title ends up though, I’d imagine the automatic rematch clause is nulled in the face of the Draft. That means that whoever wins at Battleground, we’re going to need another feud and another new direction.

If the belt stays on SmackDown, likely contenders to challenge a heel Miz could include Dolph Ziggler or Apollo Crews. If it goes to Raw with Darren Young, though, why not give Chris Jericho a shot at record 10th reign? For the exchanges between Jericho and Bob Backlund alone, that one gets my vote.
