10 New Directions For AEW After Full Gear 2023

4. A Triple Crown Champion?

AEW Devil Revealed

Did somebody say Triple Crown Champ? Yes, yes they did.

Eddie Kingston said he’d put both his NJPW Strong and ROH World Titles on the line during every match he works in the upcoming Continental Classic. So, in effect, the winner of the tournament will have three belts to parade around with (including the new Continental Title).

That'd turn someone into a Triple Crown beast overnight. It'll be interesting to see who Tony Khan picks for it; Kingston is unlikely, let's be real about that straight up. His dual New Japan and ROH reigns are about to end during this tourney. AEW might agree something with NJPW and put both their strap and the Ring Of Honor belt on someone who doesn't win the CC though.

It might be smart to keep the Continental Championship separate and let that take centre stage come Worlds End's finale. If not, then someone is about to start carting around a ton of gold. Let's hope fans don't follow them around airports at 4am looking for pictures.

Only kidding. Who'd do that...?!
