10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2022

9. Jade Cargill Ditching Squashes

It's time for Jade Cargill to kiss goodbye to squashes full-time. See what this fan did there? Yeah, and it wasn't particularly clever. Speaking of which, it'd be dumb if the TBS Champ reverted back to running over lesser opponents in seconds/minutes on Dynamite and Rampage.

AEW should leave the Goldberg stylings behind.

Jade has improved in-ring, and she'll only get better with more experience. Tay Conti was a solid, if unthreatening, rival for her at Revolution. Also, Cargill's streak (which now sits at 29-0) will mean more if she's actually beating credible foes in lengthy, complex matches.

Nobody's suggesting that Tony Khan thinks about taking the gold away from Jade, but he has to quit viewing her as All Elite's female Goldberg and start realising that Cargill's in-ring improvement is paramount. Do that and she'll be a force in this company for a long, long time.

That's surely what everyone wants.
