10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2024

7. Kyle O'Reilly's Big Decision

Fans in Greensboro were happy to see Kyle O'Reilly return at Revolution. Anyone hoping he'd become the latest addition to the Undisputed Kingdom lineup would've been slightly disappointed though, because Kyle knocked back a faction t-shirt and appeared conflicted when staring down an old friend.

Question time: Will he join old pals or become a rebellious spitfire babyface?

The second option would be AEW's best bet at turning O'Reilly into someone worthwhile again. If he joins old stablemates like Adam Cole and Roderick Strong, then he'll quickly fade into the background as just another heavy in just another group. It'd be awesome if Kyle challenged for the International gold instead.

Strong vs. O'Reilly is the kind of midcard bout that'd keep AEW's hardcore fanbase chirpy. Kyle's well-known injury issues make him ideal for the underdog babyface role. That's doubly true if he's spurning Cole and Strong to strike out on his own and become a singles champion.
