It's time for the 'King' to stand on his own two feet.

WWE seemed to be going in that direction with Xavier Woods once he won King Of The Ring, but then he started teaming regularly with Kofi Kingston again and they kinda forgot all about a singles push. WrestleMania 38 season is the perfect time to get back on that horse.

A stab at the Intercontinental Title sounds likely, and it's hardly like Shinsuke Nakamura is doing anything with that belt; giving it to someone like Woods might actually raise the profile of that once-proud secondary title again and breathe some much-needed life into IC lungs.

Surely, for a good few months at least, this is the end of Woods and Kingston as tag title challengers on SmackDown. WWE are coming into the period of the year when they forget all about the brand split too. In other words, Kofi wouldn't have to go it alone...
