10 New Directions For WWE After Night Of Champions 2023

6. Cody & Brock’s Blowoff Battle

WWE Night Of Champions 2023 Triple H Seth Rollins World Heavyweight Title

Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes III is about as inevitable as Rocky Balboa rising up like a phoenix from the ashes to vanquish Clubber Lang in the third installment of Sly Stallone's boxing franchise. Post-NOC, there's just no way WWE could get away with leaving this one hanging in mid-air.

Grab it. Or...get somebody to grab it for Cody, 'cause he probs can't grab anything after Brock almost tore his arm clean off. The way Rhodes passed out rather than tapping out was pure rasslin' art, and it leaves the door open for a third bout between the pair come MITB or even SummerSlam.

They're locked at 1-1, after all.

WWE may even heap on some sort of number one contendership stip for that one to give it more juice. Then, Cody can hit the campaign trail for an eventual crack at Roman Reigns instead of new World Heavyweight Champ (and fellow babyface) Seth Rollins.
