Time for some brutal honesty. Some won't agree with it, which is fine, but this is just one person's opinion: The bloom is already off the rose with Seth Rollins as World Heavyweight Champion. Back-to-back battles with Finn Bálor have been more notable for Judgment Day in-fighting than anything Seth has done.

Now, after vanquishing Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and earning a show of respect from his chief rival, Cody Rhodes is coming. Michael Cole even called Saturday's show the making of Cody, and said he'd finally arrived. WWE booking isn't exactly hiding its intentions here.

Rhodes is a World Champ-in waiting.

One can see Cody taking the World Title from Rollins at Payback (as the ultimate payback for what happened between them in 2022), and becoming the main man on Raw right through WrestleMania season. He was put over strong enough at SummerSlam for that title turnaround to happen as quickly as next month.
