10 New Generation-Era WWE Stars You Totally Don't Remember
7. Brakkus
Whilst I do not wish to disparage the merit and class of a former Mr. Olympia competitor (he finished 9th in the 1991 contest), Brakkus was absolute dog sh*t inside the squared circle. With the steroid scandal in the rear-view mirror, Vince McMahon's desire for muscles got the better of him once more, and the former bodybuilder was given a WWF contract in 1996. He was a part of the same training class as The Rock and Mark Henry, but needless to say his career didn't quite reach the same heights.
Brakkus wrestled on dark shows and house shows throughout 1996 and 1997, but didn't exactly set the world on fire. Vignettes were aired hyping his impending arrival on TV, but it never actually happened. After a brief sojourn in ECW (a two-match sojourn, one of which was a two-minute loss to Taz) Brakkus returned to the WWF in 1998, but little had changed regarding his in-ring abilities.
He wrestled a grand total of three matches on TV and was released before the summer was over. His final match was a sub-minute victory over Jesus Castillo on RAW.
