10 Nostalgic WWE Moments That Made Fans Cry

10. The Ultimate Warrior Returns To WWE On The Eve Of His Death

The Ultimate Warrior was a central figure to the initial WWF wrestling boom. If you are of a certain age, you'll remember him as integral to your childhood wrestling fandom. He was the heir to Hulk Hogan's standing as WWF's franchise man. Kids everywhere were kitted out in Warrior t-shirts and hoodies. The colourful energy that he brought to the ring left vivid memories of excitement. Even though fans of the era grew up and realised that Warrior wasn't actually that good of a worker, the appreciation for his legacy never wavered. He was a WWE legend and no matter what controversies arose, Warrior would always be the face of an era for so many fans. Finally, after a seventeen year absence, he returned to the WWE in the spring of 2014. The crowd roared with emotion at his Hall Of Fame induction, but it was appearance on the post-WrestleMania Raw that really provoked the tears. Nostalgically recreating his vintage look and shaking the ropes, Warrior cut a promo that eerily foreshadowed his death which occurred the very next day. Even before he died, his epic promo delivery was generating tears. It has even more poignancy since he died of a heart condition less than 24 hours later.
"Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them bleed deeper, and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalised. I am Ultimate Warrior. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans. And the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever!"
