10 Most Notorious Brock Lesnar Urban Legends

1. He Quit In 2004 Because He Hated The Travel

Story: It sees unfathomable that a guy that had a multi-million, multi-year deal and a bright future as one of the most important figures in WWE would just walk away, but that's what Brock Lesnar did in 2004. It shocked the wrestling world when we found out that he was walking away after WrestleMania 20. He lost to Goldberg clean, gave middle fingers to the New York City fans that were booing him, received a Stone Cold Stunner by guest ref Steve Austin and then left the company. Why did he leave? He has never really talked about it in great detail although there were all kinds of reports saying that it was mainly due to the travel. There weren't stories about him having creative issues or having problems with any wrestler. It was always about the travel. He even got his own private plane towards the end of his 2004 run although for a guy that was traveling nearly every week that could get quite expensive. Why People Believe It: Lesnar has never been a good "people person" in that he's not an outgoing guy and not very sociable. It makes sense that he wouldn't like the traveling aspect of the business. Should We Believe It: Yes. He had everything else going for him in the business because of his contract and his push, so it's believable that the travel was the cause for his departure. It seems like something that he could have worked out, though. Just leaving like that was very unprofessional.
