6. Actors Christian Slater And Nicolas Cage Inspired His Name
Story: Christian's name prior to WWE was Christian Cage. He also used that name when he worked for TNA Wrestling because WWE wouldn't let him wrestle as just Christian. Every name needs an origin. For him it came from two actors that were well known in the 1990s and even today. He got Christian from Christian Slater and Cage from Nicolas Cage. It's the same way that many others in wrestling got their name. Why People Believe It: They're two famous actors, so it's believable that he would pick them for his name. Should We Believe It: Yes it's true. It's not like this is something that WWE mentioned a lot, but he has discussed it before. Another example of a wrestler using celebrities for their name is Tyson Kidd getting his name from boxer Mike Tyson and basketball player Jason Kidd. There are probably others too.
