10 NXT Call Ups To WWE Main Roster – 5 We Will See And 5 We Won’t
7. WILL - Rhea Ripley
The only woman on this list for good reason, Rhea Ripley has it all. The former NXT Women's Champion has taken Full Sail by storm, using her unique look and move set to pop the crowd every week.
It was clear the company was high on Ripley by inserting her immediately into the first ever Mae Young Classic. The commentators couldn't praise her more, touting her as the most exciting female prospect since Charlotte Flair, a comparison that was made once again during her recent WrestleMania feud with Flair. As a smiling babyface Ripley didn't make much of an impact. Returning the next year, in the second MYC, Ripley was now a punk rock heel, despised by fans after destroying Tegan Nox's knees.
Ever since, Ripley has been proving the company's high hopes right. Boasting raw athletic ability, combined with a unique look and offence style, Ripley is made for the big time. She has proven on multiple occasions that she can go under the bright lights and then some. Captaining the winning teams in the Women's War Games and Survivor Series Elimination Tag matches, in the same weekend, Ripley knocked the opportunity out of the park. Rewarded, she soon became the woman to finally dethrone Shayna Baszler and send her packing to Raw. A path Ripley will soon follow herself.
The fans are behind her, management is behind her and now that she's dropped the title to the woman herself, expect Ripley to fill that Charlotte Flair sized hole left on the main roster, sooner, rather than later.
