8. WON'T - Killian Dain

Another man currently on a second run with NXT, Killian Dain never really had the backing to be the star he could be.

Debuting in late 2016, Dain soon became the standout member of Eric Young’s band of wacky misfits known as SAnitY. Fans were amazed at the Northern Irish brute, as he manhandled his weaker opponents. Standing at 6'4" and weighing 322 lbs, Dain was everything Vince McMahon loved in a wrestler, aside from the movie star good looks. It seemed inevitable that he would break away from his stablemates and reach super-stardom.

Arguably the man was the breakout star in both the company’s first ever War Games match and the six-way ladder match for the first NXT North American Championship at TakeOver: New Orleans. After SAnitY’s call up post WrestleMania 34, Dain was once again the standout in the group’s brief feuds with The Usos and The New Day. After this, creative gave up and the group disappeared from television, before quietly disbanding.

Returning back to NXT as the monster he is, it appeared he was finally on the cusp of a great singles run. Earning a spot-on TakeOver: War Games III, in a losing effort to Pete Dunne and Damian Priest in a triple threat number 1 contender’s match, was the last time we’ve seen Dain in a major program.

He seems to have something planned for him, according to his recent run of squashing jobbers, but until that pays off, it appears we won’t be seeing Dain on our main roster screens again.
