10 NXT Predictions For 2017

If the strong rumours are to be believed, Ricochet (aka Prince Puma in Lucha Underground) is expected to sign a WWE contract in the summer. Most likely, he'll report first to NXT and we fully expect him to take Full Sail by storm when he does.

With his high flying skills and ability to do things inside the ring that nobody has ever done before, he is sure to immediately grab the attention of the NXT fans. And what better way for him to make an immediate impact in Florida than to win the NXT championship in his first night with the company via his awe inspiring 630 finishing manoeuvre.

We'd expect a continued influx of big independent signings in NXT in 2017 too. The likes of Will Ospreay and the American Wolves coming to Full Sail is a good possibility, while surely WWE have to finally offer Magnus a developmental contract this year? Especially once his wife Mickie James is officially back on the road with Smackdown.
