10 NXT Stars That Have Been Squandered
8. Solomon Crowe
CZW stalwart Sami Callihan had long built a reputation on uninhibited performances and a keen eye for subtle detail. His relentless ambition got him signed by WWE in 2013. Given that former indy contempories like Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Cesaro were lighting up Monday Night Raw heavily at the time (Ambrose was another CZW mainstay), the rechristened-Crowe's chances looked promising.
Sadly, his time at the Performance Center was marred by inconsistency. Crowe found it hard to get his head above the current, and his malicious computer hacker gimmick was killed off before it could really gain traction.
Crowe would later claim that he was replaced by Tye Dillinger on NXT Takeover: Brooklyn for a match with Apollo Crews, and saw the writing on the wall from there.
