Cathy Kelley was given the best possible send-off as she closed out her final TakeOver segment with The Undisputed Era ahead of their major title matches later in the show.
It was typically brilliant fare - without a belt of his own anymore (and one senses that won't go without mention for much longer...) Roderick Strong played cheerleader for the whole group, teeing up leader Adam Cole to eventually banter her off with a tacitly affectionate "You can leave now".
Kelley has been the group's constant correspondent for their respective durations on the brand, with Cole's cold farewell a far gentler nod as she prepared to leave the company following the event.
A touching tribute on the TakeOver post show featured the quartet and Triple H paying tribute to all her fantastic contributions. The Network distracted audiences with total bullsh*t about the Ruthless Agression era but should have aired this show of genuine appreciation and heartfelt thanks instead. Reality always beats fantasy, just as Kelley was always preferable to about 90% of WWE's broadcast team. She'll be missed.
