10 NXT TakeOver: Portland Impulse Reactions

3. The Undisputed Era (c) Vs. The Broserweights

Immaculately paced, furiously fought and spectacularly cathartic, The Broserweights' Tag Team Championship victory over The Undisputed Era offered the one thing missing from Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle's magnificent tear through NXT's virtually non-existent doubles division - the minute prospect that they might they fail.

Having not even bothered to drop in seeds of doubt or miscommunication in the wonderfully daft build, Dunne and Riddle had three separate moments of miscalculation that could have easily resulted in defeat or the snapping of 'The Bruiserweight' or 'Original Bro' on the other at the expense of their f*cking fantastic relationship.

The feeling of panic with every escalating error was palpable in Portland, with Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly so close to capitalising before the Challengers did the same thing they've done all month - combine and f*cking rule.

Undisputed Era's prophy was cracked before TakeOver but now lay in tatters ahead of Adam Cole's main event, but there was no time to dwell on the desperation of the bad guys while celebrations were in order for the best babyfaces on the brand. Yet again, a league without legs suddenly feels like the most solid on the show. NXT deserves the highest praise for making this so.
