6. Bayley & Shotzi Went To The Same High School
"Did anybody famous go to the same school as you?"
It's a questions everybody's asked their friends at some point, but most of the time the answer is no. There's always that smug person who can reel off a host of celebrities they shared a classroom with, but usually there's no one to speak of.
That's not the case if you're Bayley and Shotzi, who both went to Independence High School in San Jose, California. Under their real names of Pamela Martinez and Ashley Urbanski, the two crossed over at school in the 2000s before Bayley, the older of the two, graduated and started her career in professional wrestling.
There's no indication that either of them knew that the other one existed in high school; by the time Shotzi started wrestling around California, Bayley was already on her way to NXT. Hopefully they got along better at school than they do in kayfabe, after Damage CTRL shaved Shotzi's head in 2023. It's crazy that WWE hasn't referenced this coincidence once on screen; there's so much potential to delve into a kayfabe history between the two.
They're not the only wrestling alumni to go to Independence; Eric Guerrero, a three-time NCAA wrestling Champion and competitor at the 2004 Olympics walked the same halls. He once wrestled at an NCAA tournament at Penn State, where a young Brock Lesnar also tried out.
