It turns out it's possible to talk about wrestlers in Norwich without bringing up Saraya or the World Association of Wrestling.

Whoops! Forget about that...

Chris Jericho and Lita are legends from the Attitude Era who continued to evolve as their careers went on. They've got plenty in common, but this one isn't about wrestling at all. Back in 2010, Jericho was punted in the head by Randy Orton as a way to get him off TV so he could go on tour with Fozzy again. Around this time, fans would see Fozzy shows announced, then know that Y2J was going to lose a title he held, be defeated in a specific feud, or quit on an episode of Raw, all so he could leave for a while.

This 2010 tour visited the shores of our great kingdom, which included a show at The Waterfront in Norwich. A lot of bands play the county town of Norfolk, including one fronted by another WWE superstar... and she did it first.

Just before Lita retired from wrestling in 2006, she formed The Luchagors in Atlanta. Eventually, they decided to take the band on tour, which also meant a trip to our beautiful shores; the UK is truly blessed when it comes to wrestling bands!

Needless to say, they also played in the home of Paige: Norwich. The Luchagores graced the stage of The Marquee, a small pub with a backroom for live music.

Wrestling lore owes a lot to Norwich, including some of the first UK shows by both of these legends' bands. Who would've thought?

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
